I've started reading my old Starwars books again. And it's safe to say that my choice of reading material in camp has fallen under the ridicule of many. I mean, sure, it isn't exactly the most intellectually stimulating subject but hey - i wasn't looking to be stimulated in the first place. 'There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book - books are either well written or badly written.' ok can't really exactly remember the quote and i don't really understand the point of it being there at all see i'm trying to be cheem.
Anyway, Han Solo's eldest son, Jacen Solo, said something that really stuck to me. You see he can't really decide whether being a Jedi Knight is the right way to go. He realizes that he was kinda forced into it because the Force runs strong in his family. I mean, duh right His grandfather was Anakin Skywalker. (If you guys are lost, Princess Leia married Han Solo. Princess Leia is Luke Skywalker's brother.) He believes that by being a Jedi Knight, he's actually hindering his understanding and development within the Force. He's torn between what he wants - leaving the Jedi order to meditate and be a Yoda, and his duty as a Jedi Knight - to serve the Jedi Order and the New Republic. He doesn't want his future to be determined by his ancestry, so he's spending alot of time thinking about what the future holds for him, and what sort of Jedi he'll turn out to be. Well, he finally realizes that he shouldn't think about it too much (took him long), and he should focus on the here and now, defending the universe against the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Yong.
So yeah. Yeah. If you know what i mean.
